The Red River Valley Veterans Concert Band, Inc.

The RRVVCB celebrated two wonderful events last week honoring our nations veterans.

Monday night the band was part of the community welcoming celebration of the WDAY Honor Flight. This is always a moving experience for the band and Monday's event was no different; what an incredibly warm, loving feeling to see our veterans receive such a heroes welcome home!

Thursday night the band was part of the Bonanzaville Veterans Memorial event where William Henderson of the Lisbon area, a Vietnam Vet, shared some thoughts on a book he wrote (Walking in the Shadow of Death) of his service experiences in Vietnam, coming home, and coming to terms with everything. He was a great speaker! Thanks to Cass County Electric Cooperative and Dr. Thomas Bon for once again sponsoring the band at this wonderful event.

Monday, Memorial Day, the RRVVCB will be part of the Riverside Cemetery service in Fargo at 11 AM, and at the Moorhead American Legion Post 31 flag raising event at 1 PM.

The RRVVCB has a busy week ahead!

Monday night we'll be part of the welcome-home event for the WDAY Honor Flight at Hector Airport. If you've been to one of these, you know the love, patriotism, and just overall great feeling felt by all. If you've not been to one...you owe it to yourself, and our veteran heroes to join the celebration! 7:30 PM at Hector...be there!

Then Thursday night the band performs at the Bonanzaville Veterans Memorial celebration at Bonanzaville. There's a BBQ picnic starting at 5; concert starts at 5:30 PM. Don't miss out on the great fun! Thanks to our concert event sponsors...Cass County Electric Coop & Dr. Thomas Bon, PE! We are so grateful to our great sponsors!
